In this course we build on solid foundations by introducing upper body movement, musicality, and more advanced concepts that create the expressive Brazilian Zouk you see online.

About your teachers
Since 2022, Piro & Nelly have been teaching Brazilian Zouk together in Stockholm, building one of Sweden's most active and welcoming Zouk communities.
Their teaching combines strong technique with a relaxed, playful atmosphere where everyone feels welcome. They believe great social dancing comes from connection, musicality, and understanding both leading and following—not just memorizing moves.
Their philosophy is simple: with the right foundations, anyone can learn complex movements.
Together they have taught workshops in Switzerland, Japan, and South Africa, while organizing weekly classes, socials, and monthly parties in Stockholm.
Piro
Originally from Cuba, Piro has been part of the international Zouk scene since 2016. Nicknamed the "Counterbalance King" at Zouk marathons, he's known for creative movement, patient teaching, and a unhealthy dose of Cuban humor.
Nelly
A former professional dancer and certified Pilates teacher, Nelly combines body awareness with technical precision to help dancers move naturally and confidently. Her supportive teaching style helps students discover how their own bodies work best in dance.
🏅 Fun fact: Nelly won silver in the only Jack & Jill competition she's ever entered.
