ABOUT BRAZILIAN ZOUK FLOW ACADEMY: Brazilian Zouk Flow Academy (BZFA) is a technique-based training program for Brazilian Zouk social dancing, performance, and competition. This program features a Brazilian Zouk syllabus created by Sydney Schiff, a classically-trained professional contemporary dancer, choreographer, and scholar, who studied Brazilian Zouk dancing, history, and culture for her graduate research at the University of Michigan and beyond. BZFA classes feature a ballet-based warm up crafted to support Brazilian Zouk musicality and body movement, Brazilian Zouk solo footwork and partnerwork syllabus training, styling, creativity, and improvisation for social dancing. We rehearse choreographies for performance and competition as electives after class for students who wish to participate.
