Brazilian Zouk, Improvers Continues Class, Spring 2020

Special thanks to Ali Jehad for amazing photo. Brazilian Zouk is a fluid, smooth, playful and sensual partner dance. The core of the dance is the connection and communication between the couple. It is a versatile dance, that can be danced to a lot of different music styles, which give a lot of room for improvising to the music. In the class we will work on basis rhythm and step, lead & follow techniques, basic figures and body control and awareness. It is a social dance, which means that you as default don't have fixed partner, we change partners regularly during the classes. This also means that you don't have to sign up with a partner. The class in every Tuesday 20:30 - 22:00, starting February 4th. The class is tailored for the people who complete the beginner class successfully and master the basic techniques such as basic step, lateral, viradinha, simple turn, lunge and bonus. We will continue from the beginner class by going deeper into the lead and follow techniques, rhytm, and connection. Please ask the teachers if you are in doubt of your level. Questions/comments/ect, contact Fatima JesHan via messanger -------------------------- About the teachers: Fatima started dancing LA Salsa and bachata in Stockhom in 2009. Later on, while she was living in Aarhus, she fell in love with Brazilian zouk in 2014. In 2016, she moved to Aalborg and continued with her passion. During the last couple of years, she has attended several workshops, congresses and lessons in Europe with top international teachers from around the world to improve her dancing techniques and to learn different teaching methods. Venca discovered and then fell for Brazilian zouk already in 2010. He has been teaching it in Aalborg and occasionally in Aarhus since 2012. As the first non-brazilian leader, he won Jack & Jill competition in category novice in Rio de Jainero in 2017. During his dance life, he has attended variety of international workshops, congresses and individual lessons with the top international teachers in order to learn how to dance, how to teach, and especially how to enjoy it. Fatima and Venca found beauty in Zouk especially in body communication and fluency of the dance. Their main focus is about a clean techniques, a good connection with the dance partner and musical interpretation, which makes Zouk a very special and expressive dance for them.
