Get ready for Part 2 of our Brazilian Zouk Lambada Journey with Ry'el!!! 💃🏻🕺🏻🔥🔥🔥🤩 We are so excited 🤩 to announce that world-renowned instructor Ry'el Velandia is coming BACK to Albuquerque to offer a second weekend of Brazilian Zouk Lambada workshops!!! In this "Fundamental Intensive Progressive Weekender," dancers will have the chance to express and progress through the core Zouk Lambada curriculum created by the genius dancing mind of Ry'el himself! The March workshops will build upon the foundations that Ry'el shared during the February weekender. If you attended that event, please practice, so you are prepared for March!! If you did NOT attend the last weekender with Ry'el, please check out the Brazilan Zouk Lab & Practica each Monday in Albuquerque and/or the review session with Rachel on February 18th in Santa Fe to get caught up! Each weekender is a progressive series where each class will build upon the other throughout the weekend. He is also the creator of ZenZouk, a method of teaching Brazilian Zouk-Lambada and overall body movement through multiple exercises and philosophies based on the “elements," including earth, water, fire, and air- as symbols for analyzing dance and personal movement. Ry’el’s main aim is to educate and cultivate the appreciation for each one of these different styles of Brazilian Zouk-Lambada , building a strong foundation of versatility by embracing evolution through the classic techniques found in the origins of our dance (Lambada). ​ His rich formal dance training in classical ballet, jazz, World Jazz, modern dance, international Latin, and social dances like Salsa, Bachata, cha-cha and different Brazilian Zouk styles enables him to understand, share & create flavorful and fluid organic movement in each of his works as well as in his teachings.
