Brazilian Zouk Open Level Technique Class + Party 18 MAR Salmgasse 6

Guido (Zouk-Vienna Connection) invites you for an 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗭𝗼𝘂𝗸 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 that is suitable for 𝗕𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿, 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿, 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲 levels and also interesting regarding the technique for more 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 dancers. You will first learn 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽𝘀 and then use those for well danceable moves (different levels of difficulty) in 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 that include several techniques / aspects to 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱. The class is therefore suitable for 𝗔𝗡𝗬 𝗟𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗟. And I will challenge everyone, even 𝗔𝗗𝗩. I decided to teach the class alone this time, as I have done this many times over the past 13 yrs and especially this class is a lot about solo steps and technique which we prepare so well that the partner moves will be super easy in the end for everyone just putting together what you did before alone. Difficult to explain, we mainly do steps logic in relation to turns and add more and more variations, but ultimately will discover what is the concept of all of those. We start with solo steps and I guarantee in the beginning most/some of you will be super confused, but then you will understand the logic and the system and, in the end, you will not understand why it was so hard to get it in the beginning. Once we feel comfortable, we will use those solo steps also to create figures in partner work. This class will give you a deep understanding of Zouk logic, help the followers to know what comes next (what CAN come next, and what CANNOT), and allow the leaders to understand what crazy sh** they can lead when and how, in which direction,… I have prepared exercises and movements in different levels of difficulty. So even if you are an advanced dancer and you think it will be too easy, come and give it a try… and surprise me… 😉 Since we build up slowly, the class is structured in a way that also newer Zoukinins will be able to follow everything or at least most parts. If necessary, we can even split into 2 groups for the final part: one group stays with the more basic moves to practice and the other one does the most advanced moves… I guarantee that apart from activating your brain, it will be super fun and I can only repeat, deep understanding of Zouk is waiting for you that will make you more confident and allow you to be more creative in the end… of course only if you practice what I will show you 😉 Looking forward to seeing you on Monday! To book classes it is not necessary to pay neither initial, nor regular membership fee apart from the cost for the specific course(s). We are organizing classes, parties and other events since 2011 and have profound experience in teaching Zouk and organizing dance events. 𝐆𝐔𝐈𝐃𝐎 𝐀𝐒𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐍𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐍𝐄𝐑 ======================= is international dance instructor and also Vienna's first local Zouk teacher and organizer. He started dancing ballroom at the age of 16, also participating in shows already in his first year. Later he discovered Latin dances such as Salsa, Bachata and others, before he got fascinated by Brazilian ZOUK, which he has been dancing since 2010 and teaching since 2011. Since 2014 he also dances Samba de Gafieira, which he is also teaching irregularly as of 2016. He is also teaching Lambada/Lambazouk, which was always present in his Zouk life as well. Guido has learnt from all important Zouk/Lambada/Gafieira teachers across the globe in Europe and Brazil in group and private classes as well as numerous special teacher trainings in group and private setting, partly in Brazil, where he was also teaching as congress instructor. Guido always keeps up to date by attending congresses and traveling to Brazil (already 9 times by 2023). His latest stay included a 3 weeks immersion at Barracão da Dança, the famous dance school of Daniel, Matheus & Nina in CAMPINAS, SP, Brazil. The teachers influencing his dance style most significantly are world-famous stars Freddy MARINHO & Andressa CASTELHANO, William TEIXEIRA & Paloma ALVES, Val CLEMENTE & Vanessa BONILHA, Matheus FRANCO & Nina DARBELLO, Marck SILVA & Melyssa TAMADA, Vanessa MEIRELLES & Iago HASSUIKE, Gilson DAMASCO, Clinton LACERDA & Cristi BOONE and many more. A significant increase of the Zouk scene in Vienna happened thanks to Guido's initiative: Starting in 2011 he was the first one making the important step to teach weekly classes and to organize weekly socials in Austria as well as regular workshop weekends with famous guest teachers (predominantly from Brazil) in Vienna. He is founder of the yearly events RIO ZOUK (& SAMBA) WEEKEND and MEGA ZOUK & SAMBA WEEKEND and has organized numerous smaller events. Overall, he has already brought almost all big teachers to Vienna for workshops, festivals and also for longer-term stays. Guido is the founder of ZOUK-VIENNA CONNECTION, an association in Austria specifically dedicated to ZOUK and other Brazilian dances working closely with other Brazilian organizations and Brazilian artists. As a former member of the International Zouk Flash Mob Management Team (IZFM MT, today IZD – International Zouk Day) he also worked to serve the Zouk scene worldwide for several years. Soon he also started DJ-ing and creating Zouk remixes as "DJ Guido Zoukeiro" and playing on various international events. His very latest specialty is LIVE re-mixing of songs with the Zouk beat and other beats. Guido not only knows Zouk / dance technique in the greatest detail, but also works a lot with intuition, connection, body and soul interdependence, energy, preparing the body for movement and spirituality. On the other hand, he also enjoys the energy of Lambada, which accompanied him over all the years and is growing back into Zouk again faster and faster. In 2024 he immersed even more into Lambada, taking more and more private and group classes with Lambada stars and dancing on festivals with Lambada legends such as Didi & Particia.
