Casino!?!? Not as gambling but as style of Cuban social Dance called Casino (known here in the U.S. as "Cuban Salsa") We will have your yearly workshops with guest instructors from DC!!! DC Casineros will be back in town to teach from 12noon-4pm :) Good afternoon @everyone ! Below are the 3 workshops will be teaching. They will be progressive so we encourage you to attend to all 3 starting at 12pm 1) first workshop: -body islolations drills for social dancers using Afrocuban folkloric technique -footwork drills across the floor at tiempo and contra tiempo -understanding and applying traveling in arcs in the rueda de casino with moves you are familiar with (15 minutes rest/transition) 2nd Workshop: -Using "Desplazamiento" traveling figures in open and closed position in Casino Dance with your partner then apply it to the rueda , emphasis on casino dance technique and musicality. 15 minutes break/transition 3rd workshop: Applying Cuban Casino dance technique and moves learned to rueda estructures: Avenida formation (combination from first and second workshop) Social dance no cover with FOOD & BREWS will be at Twisted Track from 6:30pm-10:30pm with after party at Aji Fusion 10pm-1am. 🔴We will host our guest DC instructors at the studio for the 4 dance workshops.
