Budapest Tango Styles Weekend

Dear students I'm bringing back Dario Da Silva, this time we are planning to take you through a journey of Tango styles! VIDEOS-HISTORY-FIGURES! We will work with old videos (with the help of the projector) from a few of the greatest milongueros and dancers who have created the styles and some of the figures that we are doing nowadays. The idea is to analyze each couple in the video, learn the figure and understand the techniques and different embraces. After only a few weeks of dancing, he knew that tango was going to become an integral part of his life. Tango has been his passion ever since. Dario studied with maestros Rodolfo Ruiz Diaz and Victoria Collosio. He also had random instruction from the old milongueros of Rosario. They have been quoted as saying, « he’s young, but he has the heart of a true tanguero ». Dario started working professionally at the age of seventeen, performing in the cities of Rosario and Buenos Aires, as well as in dance festivals throughout Argentina. He performed in Buenos Aires at « Primer Encuentro Nacional de Tango » in 1999 with the Orchestra Juan de Dios Filiberto. He has also played a major part in the following shows: “Y No es Poca Cosa”, “El Tango y Sus Bailarines”, “Tango y Vida”, “Una Noche de Tango”, “Tango Fusion :Encuentros Intimos”, and many others. Dario has taught and performed throughout the East coast of the US from 2000 to 2007. He has performed in New York at many dance events such as the “New York Tango festival”, “The International Encounter of Nations” in Albany, “The Dance Flurry” in Saratoga Springs, “The Merking Concert Hall and Joe’s Pub” in Manhattan and has been part of the “Tango fusion dance company” for the past 2 seasons. He has performed “The four seasons of love” with maestro Raul Jaurena winner of the Latin Grammy Award at the Thalia Theater in NYC; He was a guest artist at the gala night of “The new generation dance company” in 2006. In Massachusetts, he performed in « Dance across the City » at the Wang Theater in Boston; and the Summersville theater. He has also been part of the « The Boston Tango Festival » for the 3 consecutive years. Dario was also part of the movie: “Life is the dream in the cinema” by director Mariusz Kotowsky. Dario has 20 years of experience teaching tango, . Dario is fluent in English, Spanish and French, which allows him to teach all around the world. Since January 2010, he moved to Aix-en-Provence, France where he open along with Claire Vivo their successful Tango Academy www.aix-en-tango.comABOUT ANTONELLA TERRAZAS Antonella was born in Mendoza, Argentina, has a strong ballet and contemporary background, she is a choreographer and a certificated yoga teacher. She worked several times in national festivals as a director of choreography, in charge of a700 hundred artists from different disciplines for a 30,000 people audience. In 2012 she moved to Europe and started teaching Tango in Salone Margherita School.(Napoli) From 2014 she started working as dance partner with Sebastian Arce, then in 2015 she moved to Moscow to teach regularly in his Academy, holding classes for advanced levels. Since 2015 she is one of the maestros of Tangomeet.com , the online tango school with high tango education where you find classes from few of the best maestros in the world. She has worked with other partners too in Festivals and workshops all over Europe and Russia like Fernando Galera, Csongor Kicsi the European Champion, Maximiliano Cristiani the World Champion, Andres Sautel and recently with Pablo Rodriguez. In 2017 She opened her own school "Tango House” in Budapest,Hungary. Now the school is working online and organize weekend events. Since 2017 she took part as jury in national finals competitions in Italy. In 2019 and 2021 she worked as the artist Director in Napoli at the school of Salone Margherita, where she held regular classes for Intermediate/advanced couples. In 2022 she has opened “Tango House Skopje” in North Macedonia where she is preparing local teachers to teach under her method. In July 2022 she took part as jury of the European Championship in Italy.
