Buenos Aires Tango Tour 2019

Hello dear friends and tango students, as you know we’ve been thinking about planning this trip for a long time and we’ve finally worked on it!! The idea is to create a trip for those who really want to learn and go deeper with their tango dancing. You would be taking lessons with recognized masters and partnering with professional dancers in classes, practicas and milongas - this will help you learn more effectively and quickly! This promises to be a beautiful trip to the city we love, Buenos Aires, where we will all learn and grow together. Only for those who confirm assistance before January 1st we have a limit of 12 spots to be hosted in the great Casa Hotel La Maleva included in the price, so make your reservation asap! Las Malevas is a high demand tango hotel and we can save you a spot there (included in the price) only if you make your reservation before January 1st. After that day you have to find and pay a hotel by yourself. All activities will happen at La Maleva. About the trip: The trip is a tango intensive and you will be dancing with masters of a premium level. It’s about learning and improving your dance. You will have 26 hours of dance with professional dancers. Most of those hours will be spent practicing. We know the process of assimilating new information is slow, that's why it doesn't make sense to have too many classes in a short period of time and so there will not be lessons every day so that you aren’t overloaded with new information that you can't understand or learn deeply. We will also have the opportunity to learn argentine traditional customs including a class on how to prepare ARGENTINE MATE, how to dance chacarera and how to make Argentine empanadas, these will be delicious! About the classes: You'll have 7 fantastic lessons with the best masters of Buenos Aires and you will be partnering with professional dancers during the classes. We will change partners in the class, so you will dance with all the professionals and they will give you feedback in class and the masters as well. The classes will be one hour long and after each class you'll have a break before the practica starts. About the practica: The practica will be 30 minutes of practicing with the professional dancers and continuing to work on the concepts that you learned in the class. The second half an hour will be to dance without interruption and you can change partners after each song. All the classes and practicas will be held at La Maleva, the same location that you will staying so it will be very convieient for you and you won’t need to move around the city to follow our program. About La Maleva: La Maleva Casa Hotel Tango is lovely old European style house situated in the historic Almagro neighborhood. The house features all the regular comforts of a home, as well as four superbly decorated guest rooms, three beautiful suites, and a rooftop terrace with a sun deck and a hammock. There is also a spacious dance studio fully equipped with floor-to-ceiling mirrors and a stereo system that you can use for free everyday to take privates or practice. All classes and prácticas will held in here. The rooms at La Maleva are doubles and only 2 are singles. The sooner you get your spot more chances you have to choose your room and partner if shared. https://lamaleva.com About the milongas: At night we will go to the best milongas and you will dance with our professional dancers for the first 2 hours (1 tanda with each one). About the partnering: All the partners are local/international teachers with a high level of dance. About the Masters: They are some of the most recognized Masters in Buenos Aires with a vast amount of experience teaching and performing all over the world. Some of the Masters include Pancho Martinez Pey, Lorena Ermocida, Ruben Veliz and Sabrina Veliz. About the history class: We have a tango historian for you, someone who can make us time travel and explain a lot of great information about tango. He's a history teacher in a university and speaks english so he can communicate all his knowledge. About the dates: The activities will start on Wednesday February 27th, so everybody should arrive in Buenos Aires no later than Tuesday the 26th we can start fresh on Monday. The last night of activities will be on March 10th, so the 11th you’ll be free to go! About the price: Price is 2.100 American dollars. After December 31st the price of 2.100 does not includes the hotel. The payments for the tour are flexible.
