Cacao & Hapé Ceremony @ The Homestead

418 middle grove road, Middle grove, NY As many of you may know, my family and I will be heading to Peru at the end of January to further pursue our herbal medicine practices, ceremonies indigenous to Peru and surrounding areas. —————- Before I leave Troy for my voyage I wanted to be in sacred space with all of you one more time and share this medicine paired with various transformational exercises, meditations, chants, bonfire, jamming and dancing! Eat lightly! 6-7pm Connection to the Self: Guided Meditation — Connecting to your Heart. 7pm - 8 pm FireSide Cacao Ceremony: with integrative group exercises ( Temp is going to be about 30, fire will be biggg! ) dress warm! 8pm — ritualistic cleansing ( Hapé Ceremony, burning symbolic items, releasing energies that no longer serve, this will be a individual one on one Ceremony with myself ) Jam around fire/inside, dance, we may do an ecstatic dance inside depending on the outcome 😊 Potluck etc Hape’ is a tobacco Mayan snuff medicine administered nasally used for thousands of years by Olmec, Mayan, Aztec and Incan civilizations. This medicine is optional. Hape’ is typically paired with cacao after the cacao has been administered for a more internal/ introspective experience. Hape’, in my opinion, Is one of the most powerful medicines in the world. This Hape in particular is sourced from the shamans of Columbia :) ————— Theobroma cacao is raw and unprocessed. Unlike your everyday cocoa it has hundreds of components contributing to its heart warming and opening effects and is sugar free. Once again this medicine has been used in Ceremony for thousands of years by the Olmec, Incan, Aztec and Mayan civilizations to bring together brothers in sisters in community and sacred space :) —————— Potluck——Fire Bring a dish or treat to share!
