Reviving the sporting campaign which took the national soccer team to winning glory and millions to celebrate in the streets around the world, Murga Madre is proud to bring the sounds, dance and tastes of South America to Naarm/Melbourne @ Section 8. In an event for the whole family, the cobble stone laneway is set to be inundated with colour and rhythm with Soccer World Cup highlights projections and a goal kicking corner, Latin DJs DJ Tabone & DJ Danisa, and Murga Madre Latin carnival dance workshops and parade for kids and adults. Señor BBQ will set your hunger free with their infamous char-grilled chorizos and the bar will kill your thirst of Quilmes beer and Fernet. Live bands South Land Latin Rock, playing Soda Stereo favourites, and the up-beat The New Monos, with their South American heritage and flavour of contemporary Buenos Aires, will get you dancing the night away!
