[Canceled, too much snow] TOTAL Eclipse CI-Zouk-Tango-Fusion Dance Jam! - UpstateNY!

The only Total Eclipse in NY in 120 years: A unique opportunity to dance a Total eclipse from the top of a hill in the Adirondack mountains, 5h drive from NYC: Supernatural 360° sunset with magical lightning. (Exact spot to be determined, but probably spot-A bellow) Let’s make a dance jam on the top of a flat rock? That’s one time in your life. Understandably, tourist information is not encouraging hiking to the top of the hills during eclipse, as it might be too much unprepared people to rescue in the mud/snow/ice, but if we are not too badly prepared, and us dancers, fit enough, it should be fine. (Hikers on https://www.alltrails.com/ write that those days, crampons are needed to hike to the two spots i checked, see bellow) [EDIT: We'll need showshoes as well as it just snowed 1.5 feet] See you Monday! Alexandre <3 Material needed: 1- Time: From NYC, the whole day of Monday the 8th, and possibly this Sunday afternoon. 2- A car to rent to go there… Personally I don’t have a car yet and I cannot rent one with my old paper driver license but I can legally drive… DM me! 🙏 (2 roomates are eventually in the mood to join but no driver licences as well) --> 5 hours drive from NYC. 3- Eventually an Airbnb or hotel for the Sunday evening, to have more time and be more peaceful without fearing possible traffic jams on the monday morning from NYC. 4- Crampons for shoes (5$ on amazon, might be a bit more expensive at the hiking shop last minute. i already bought 4) --> 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minute to hike to the top of the hill. Also the magical light during a total eclipse is a unique experience. (possibly due to the Purkinje effect*) Friends who saw total eclipses tell me that this experience is by far the very reason why we shouldn’t miss it, rather the astrophysical observation of the sun corona that you already saw in pictures everywhere.
