FRIDAY 20 NOVEMBER 8:00PM-- THE CONNEXION , THE MUSIC , THE STEPS , THE FUN -- (open level) Kizomba is all about the connection between you and your partner, and how you feel the music together. We will introduce Kizomba through its sensual aspect , then there are many times the music invites us to have fun! We’ll try out a few ways to be playful and musical together. SATURDAY 21 NOVEMBER 12PM- 1:30PM -- KIZOMBA FOOT TRICKS -- open level Two peoples moving as one is magical, but learning to use dissociation opens up a world of possibilities in your dancing. We’ll start by learning to execute and lead or follow weight changes separately. Next we’ll work on leads’ technique for sliding and catching the follow’s feet. Soon you’ll be creating your own tricks! 1:30PM - 2:30PM --SOCIAL -- Let's practice what we learned 2:30PM - 4PM -- DYNAMIC TEMPOS -- (improver / intermediate) Kizomba is a very rhythmically interesting dance. Add in the different kinds of melodies and breaks, and you’ve got a lot to play around with! We’ll work on good technique for varying your speed to put you at ease with dynamic accelerations, slow melts, and freezes. 5pm onward -- PARTY KIZ IT AT THE BEACH -- Everyone is welcome to enjoy the sun and dances on our last Kizomba/Zouk (Caribbean)/Kompa/Taraxinah/ Kuduru /Batchata beats in a beautiful Auckland beach.
