A huge afternoon + night of LIVE SAMBA DRUMMING featuring local and interstate "baterias" (massed percussion groups) and samba dance + cultural performances! Hosted by Raio de Sol Canberra Community Samba Band! Get a taste of the vibrant and energetic Brazilian Rio Carnival vibes right here in Canberra at the first CAPITAL SAMBA ENCONTRO - Drumming + Dance Festival! The whole samba community has been waiting for this event - initially planned for 2019 but postponed due to COVID. Located at The Basement (Belconnen) and hosted by locals Raio de Sol who have represented CBR at other interstate Samba Enconto's - the event will not only showcase 6+ hours of live music, but also dance and cultural performances from the Canberra community.
