Cascadia Arts & Healing Gathering

We invite Kirtan/World Music Fans, Yogis, Healers, Ecstatic Dancers and Burners to Unite and Create "Art For Nature's Sake." Come for the day....it's free. Camp for only $20 per night, payable on site. Starts this Friday at 5pm and runs till Sunday. At Quiet Camp in Veneta! This August 2-4, join in our community art creations that will be bound for the "I Love Elephants" camp on the Playa of Burning Man! World Music and Kirtan by: Jamil Apostal and The Butter Thieves, Avasa & Matthew Love, and the phenomenal Johanna Beekman! Including musicians from Bend Chant (Chant Bend). Ecstatic dance hosted by Puma, and Sherry Aliberti. Yoga by Portland's Sweethome Teacup (Sweethome Teacup) and a special offering by Johanna Beekman (Johanna Beekman) - Lullaby Yoga (restorative, with music)! Sound baths by Erik McFarland (Erik McFarland) and campfire music by Christopher Daniells (Christopher Daniells), and special guests, including former Seattle musician and TV News personality Scott Elnes (Scott Elnes)! Opening Circle and special "Alchemy Game" by Sherry Aliberti. Alternative health practitioners will be onsite to offer their reflexology, reiki, and detox foot baths for free and by donation. For pre-registered folks, Friday and Saturday night we will host a vegan community dinner. Afterwards, join us in the magical circus tent for an evening of World Music/Kirtan and ecstatic dance! Our offerings: Morning & afternoon yoga sessions All-day music Plenty of space, tools, and support for creating your art installations for your theme camps!* Home cooked vegan dinners Nightly ecstatic dance, kirtan, and bonfires Tent and RV camping sites, hot water showers, clean toilets, and drinking water provided. Who We Are: This Gathering is sponsored by ElephantsNow.org, an organization that partially funds its environmental action through art, yoga and other consciousness events. Often seen at Bhakti, Shakti and Hanuman Festivals, the organization runs the popular "I Love Elephants" theme camp at Burning Man. Global Activism! This Gathering provides an opportunity for individuals to learn and join us on our Global Platform. Lend your voice and talents to a growing chorus of disillusioned conscious folks that, thru collective action, will "create the change we want to see!" This Event: This is a Pre-Burn gathering where a diverse group of highly conscious individuals will engage in community Art! We will provide a schedule of events to move our bodies as we weave in the creation of art that will be transported to the Playa of Burning Man two weeks later!
