Casual Dunedin Swing Festival classes swap + clothes exchange

**** open practice session ***** This is aimed at people who came to Dunedin Swing Festival last week and felt all the FOMO about having to pick classes to attend and thereby missed other classes. This will be a chance to come along and swap notes, and try out some moves and concepts from other classes. Those who weren't at the festival are also welcome to attend. All attendees please note - this is not a formal taught session, and there isn't a particular plan for content or anyone in charge - it's just a chance for those who gleaned some knowledge to share it with each other casually. Come along motivated to practice and geek out about dancing, expecting small group chats, idea sharing, move trying, enthusiasm bubbling and a little chaos. **** clothes exchange ****** While we're all gathering - there's been chat for a while about a clothes exchange, so if you've got some clothes that you don't want anymore but reckon other dancers might like (so you are hoarding them as you can't bring yourself to toss in a clothing bin - I know it's not just me!) feel free to bring them along to share with an appreciative audience. It's always fun to see your gear having fun with someone else on the social floor! Also a casual approach so we'll just have piles around the room to rustle through and not grand system in place. It's assumed most things are free to a good home, but if you do want to put a price sticker on anything make sure it clearly has your name and the price on it so people can find you to pay you. No need to contribute clothes in order to take clothes - just please take for your own use and not to sell on. You can attend for the clothes swap (giver or taker) or the Dunedin-goodness swap or both or just for the hangs. Totally up to you. **** logistics ***** From 4 pm - 7/7:30 ish, to be followed by dinner and/or drinks somewhere for those who are keen. Feel free to drop in for some or all of the session. Venue is the dance studio at Hagley College, upstairs in the Auripo building which is in the middle of the campus.
