About this Event
Join us during the Capitol Hill Art Walk as we host a night of art, dancing, and music to celebrate the artwork of some of the staff of Century Ballroom!
"To celebrate 22 years at Century Ballroom, I’ve asked some of the staff if they would be willing to share a part of themselves that you might not know if you’ve only seen them working at Century or in The Tin Table. I am delighted that they were willing."

Music in The Tin Table lounge by DJ Nudie!
Based in Seattle after residing in Amsterdam, DJ Nudie's style has been influenced by the Dutch house scene. She recently graduated from the Scratch DJ Academy in New York to shape her style even more with vinyl, scratching and different genres.Through a creative mix, she reaches a broad audience. She transfers her passion and perception of the music onto the dance floor.
About the artists:
Alexandra Kronz is a visual artist, dancer/choreographer, actor and playwright. Her recent work includes novel covers, portraiture for hire, and an original oil painting appearing in the play “The Life Model.” As a dancer and singer in addition to visual artist, Alexandra relishes the challenge of capturing the emotional presence inherent to embodied performance in static visual media, and is always trying to find ways to enrich her multiple artistic interests by juxtaposing them with one another. Ann Pallesen is a Seattle-based artist. She received her BFA from Colorado State University in Ft. Collins. Having an appreciation for pictorialism and photography from the turn of the 19 dth century, she finds lith printing an intriguing analog process to express her vision. The warm tones, hard shadows and soft highlights create a timeless atmosphere of delicacy and nostalgia. She has exhibited her work nationally at Benham Gallery, Photo LA, Gallery 291, SAM Rental Gallery, Frye Art Museum, Washington State Convention Center, Denver International Airport, Jennifer Schwartz Gallery, Wall Space/Utina, Gallery Frames LLC, PCNW, Glazer’s, Blue Sky Gallery (drawers), among others. Pallesen was invited to give an artist talk about her photographs at the Portland Art Museum in 2016 and has been published in Black & White magazine in the UK, Camera Arts, Diffusion, Lenscratch and Lensculture. Previously she served as the Gallery Director of PCNW for nearly two decades where she produced over 150 exhibitions with emerging and renowned artists. She welcomes curatorial collaborations and offers consultation to artists who are editing their work, preparing for exhibitions and entering the fine art market.
Bronwen Williams is a contemporary artist, makeup artist, and performer. She works in primarily digital, acrylic, and graphite media. Inspired by biology, pop culture, and mental illness; the artist creates colourful, surreal portraits injected with nostalgia and neuroticism. She lives and works in Seattle, WA. www.okamish.com
Heidi Koontz writes "Painting is one of the activities, the other being dancing, in which I experience complete silence in my verbal brain. When I paint, a conversation unfolds between me and the painting, but it’s a visual language, not a verbal one. When I interact with a painting, I listen for the painting to express what it wants me to do. I know that paintings don’t actually speak in any kind of language that we’re used to; it’s my guess that what I’m experiencing is the painting unfolding from my unconscious mind, much like a dream would, and therefore, that each painting I make is like a still from a dream, and because we do share a kind of dream symbolism, or language, some of my paintings might also speak to or resonate with people who see them."
