I've been so glad to attend ChiKaGo for some years, sometimes sharing music and of course the dance party! This will be my second time bringing Shiatsu to share with you all. Using relaxed body weight and thumb contact in the primary meridian pathways, Shiatsu supports integrity on every level, from the subtlest and finest energies, to the densest bones and connective tissues. I am drawn towards the modalities of Shiatsu, Music, and Conscious Loving Living for the Empathic Support of The Oneness. I’m excited to do some 10-minute Yin-Yang tune-ups with you all! ॐ PRASHANTI STEPANEK (Massage Therapy) I come from those therapists who broke the myths about it here in Chicago. So much for history. In the present I am using my experience's with humanity and also from many who have taught me healing along the "way". Including Robert King, his wife Cathy, James Hackett and others I mainly do active massage now as a means of teaching. The healing that happens is a result of a combination of my work and the person’s willingness to heal. Amy is the Founder of Yoga Now and is a dedicated yoga teacher and leader in the Chicago community. Kirtan Fusion is a joyous celebration in music of Sanskrit hymns with regular English words. The repetition of the mantras creates a relaxed state in the mind which is both peaceful and joyous. The word Kirtan comes form the Sanskrit root "kirt" which means "to name, to communicate, to celebrate, to praise, to glorify." Kirtan can be seen as a bridge between our outer and inner selves and an expression of our desire to know and love God within. In consideration of time restraints for the poetry circle; the first to sign up will be able to share up to 4 minutes of original material in the circle.
