We will open the evening with a discussion on what Sanctuary means to us, then flow into our Open Stage Hour from 9pm-10pm. There will be a movement workshop let by Rich Logan followed by DJ Galactatron bringing us into the Ecstatic Dance. To close off the evening there will be special sound journey by Gian Arjan Singh so bring a yoga mat or something comfortable to lay on. He is an intergalactic, trans dimensional travler and is stranded here until he can fix the flizem drive of his ship, Chunky'Womp. Kalxian infinity flares, sent from Andromeda, is the only power source that can recharge the flizem drive. To atract the flares, Galactatron needs to send out a homing signal in the form of morphing melodo/rhythmic sound waves, or music as it is known here on Earth. You can expect to find sensitivity, strength, and complexity in what are often taken as seemingly basic postures. It’s these very poses that Rich encourages his students to immerse themselves in, exploring the nuances of a pose for extended periods of time and moving through other postures smoothly and with deliberate attention on placing the body in the pose as opposed to letting habitual patterns and gravity run the show. Audrey is a movement artist who dances to the beat of her own drum. While she is trained in many dance techniques, her style has always been distinct.
