Who are Audi & Cee Jay? - A. There are multiple sub-categories of dance belonging to the kizomba family. With respect to the global development of the genre as whole, few sub-categories are as innovative, influential, and controversial as French style kizomba--sometimes also called "urban kiz," "Parisian kiz," and so forth. Unlike more traditional forms of kizomba, French style explicitly and unapologetically borrows movement from other genres such as tango, zouk, hip-hop, and dancehall to expand the horizon of the broader kizomba family of dance. Audi MPK is one of the few instructors based in the US qualified to teach legit, French style kizomba thanks to his years living and studying the form in France. He teaches weekly in Nashville, TN with his accomplished partner, Cee Jay MPK, and they are sought after dancers and instructors at events across the nation. + Q.
