About this Event

A walk through the sounds of Peruvian tropical music and its surroundings. Starting in the late 1960's, there was a boom of tropical music in Peru, both in Lima and the provinces. Cumbia Peruana merged this tropical sound with that of psychedelic rock. Aspects of Cumbia were mixed with electric (often fuzz) guitar, played over Andean and jungle rhythms - this combinations provoked an explosion of original music. Expect cumbia, guajira, guaracha, surf, psychedelic, salsa vintage from Peru, Colombia, Mexico and more... ******************** Djs: HUGH JEFFNER SIR BOLIVAR ******************** Free Entry Saturday 7th May 7:00 pm Cottonmouth Records ******************** Precios Populares Sonido de alta fidelidad
