This Wednesday, Chocolate Groove celebrates its 5-year anniversary with another outdoor event or back up indoor location in the slight chance of rain! For the special occasion, we will be brewing up some Ceremonial Cacao from Guatemala & inviting in International DJ / Producer, MIXWELL from Guatemala for his Toronto debut! We will also have local legend Matty Ryce & the founder himself, Jesse Buck aka Cacaoboy to curate the music for this special night. It’s been an incredible journey offering our unique & intentional Cacao Ecstatic Dance Social events over the last 5 years. We have had so many expressions & offerings over the years, from indoor venues to online events, to rooftops, beaches, parks, Costa Rica, Tulum & international retreats, we have had an incredible ride bringing the groove all over the world. With over 222 global CG events we are incredibly grateful for our Community for their endless love and support of our intentional gatherings. MEET MIXWELL - Global fusion producer & DJ Mixwell was born in the cultural melting-pot of Montreal, and is based in Guatemalan's volcanic highlands, where he has become a staple in Lake Atitlan's avant-garde & influential music scene - an international hub of festival and ecstatic dance culture. His music blends traditional and ethnic elements from around the world with a diverse range of electronic genres, spanning from deep house to tribal trap to ethno-techno, with a particular fascination for tropical and afro-latin flavours.
