In the late 70s, there was a controversial yet revolutionary club known as Studio 54. It opened on April 26, 1977, at the peak of the disco dancing and music trend, and quickly became popular. Though it faced its challenges, original iteration of Studio 54 was noted for its extravagant events and a place where color or sexual orientation didn’t matter at a time where some minority groups where still fighting for freedom. Studio 54 was a place where you could fully be yourself and surrender in to the dance. A place where instead of dancing with your crew but with everyone in the space… Sounds like an Ecstatic Dance Party to us... As we continue to grow off the shoulders of so many who shaped the dance event industry. We have decided, for our first Wednesday Groove of 2023, to throw a NEW AGE Studio 54 themed event at the perfect vintage venue… Coin 8 Studio. With a Vintage, Retro, Regal, Studio 54 themed dress code… This will also be the going away party for Resident DJs Matty Ryce and Jesse Buck as they leave for Costa Rica end of January for a few months. Coin 8 is an multi-disciplinary art studio by day and a retro event space by night that takes you back in time. Fully loaded with hand picked retro furniture, deco, multiple lounge areas, a balcony and a wooden dance floor. The space is a perfect location for our next Cacao Ecstatic Dance Party & Social! You can expect to relax in our vintage Lounge areas, be dazzled by Live Art, explore Conscious Vendors, indulge in Elixirs, Snacks and to dance yourself into ecstatic bliss with a heart centered community.
