The Groove-Train continues as we celebrate a monumental milestone: 8 Years of Chocolate Groove! 🎉🍫 For eight years, Chocolate Groove has been Toronto’s home for conscious, intentional, booze-free celebrations, co-creating over 350 gatherings and hosting over 6 retreats over that time across Canada, the USA, Costa Rica, Belize, Guatemala, and Colombia. While our actual anniversary falls on September 5th (marking the exact day back in 2018 when founder Jesse Buck committed to running Chocolate Groove every Wednesday on his Birthday), we chose to shift our official celebration to Wednesday, September 9th to accommodate the Labor Day long weekend and ensure our entire community could come together. As this may be our final outdoor groove of the summer, we are pulling out all the stops to make it an unforgettable night under the stars. Whether you’ve danced with us for the last eight years or you’ve never stepped into our circle before, you are warmly invited to come celebrate this beautiful chapter in Chocolate Groove history. Your contributions are essential to keeping these events sustainable, allowing us to pay our artists and cover the operational costs of our outdoor offerings. Dress for the Weather: Rain or shine, we dance! Come prepared with layers. Pack Your Essentials: Water bottle, blanket/yoga mat, sunscreen, and insect repellent. Leave No Trace: Please pack out everything you pack in. Footwear: We recommend bringing shoes for walking to and from the dance area. Presence Over Phones: Please step away from the dance floor to preserve the shared energy of the space. Safety & Self-Reliance: We will have a lounge area lit up; feel free to bring tapestries or pillows to expand our cozy space. Substance-Free: We co-create a sober space. Please do not bring alcohol or illegal substances. Facilities: Public washrooms are nearby but have early closing times (around 9–10 PM).
