We are an intentional, alcohol-free, all-inclusive safe space for everyone to come together, connect & DANCE. A Chocolate Dance Party Summer has arrived, and we are still buzzing from our most vibrant outdoor season yet! We are excited to build on that incredible momentum as we soak in all the sweetness of summer and come together for a very special edition of Chocolate Groove: The Global Bass Night. Join us Wednesday July 22nd for a journey around the world, expressed through movement and community. We are beyond thrilled to welcome our headliner, Ghost Pipe, coming all the way from Detroit to share his unique medicine with us! Get ready for an immersive day-into-night Ecstatic Dance Party beneath the open sky. This is a judgment-free, alcohol-free space designed for presence, connection, and elevation. Whether you are a seasoned dancer or stepping into our circle for the first time, Chocolate Groove is your playground for celebration, connection, and joy. 🌟 About Our Headliner: Ghost Pipe Ghost Pipe is the musical offering of holistic psychotherapist and professor of psychology and counseling, Connor Wills. Ghost Pipe is much more than just a DJ set; it’s a multi-instrumental, improvised offering to support the healing and spiritual growth of the listener and connect them with their ancestral roots through movement. Whether an ecstatic dance, a late night festival slot, or a plant medicine ceremony, Ghost Pipe's hybrid DJ and live percussion performances are always 100% unplanned and improvised. Ghost Pipe sets tend to lean toward tribal music from South America and West Africa, held with great respect and reverence for these cultures and related traditions. Folks in attendance can also expect to hear improvisational sampled spoken word wisdom from experts in trauma healing, spiritual leaders past and present, and indigenous healers from around the world to further infuse healing into the Ghost Pipe live experience. This is truly music as a modality for healing. Since being founded in 2024, Ghost Pipe has been honored to share lineups in Colombia, Nicaragua, and The United States with diverse acts including Ms. Lauryn Hill, DJ Drez, Papadosio, Savej, Zion Marley, M.C. Yogi, and many more. With his original record “Integration” now released and a breakout 2026 underway, we are honored to host him in Toronto. Dress for the Weather: Rain or shine, we dance! Come prepared with layers. Pack Your Essentials: Water bottle, blanket/yoga mat, sunscreen, and insect repellent. Leave No Trace: Please pack out everything you pack in. Footwear: We recommend bringing shoes for walking to and from the dance area. Presence Over Phones: Please step away from the dance floor to preserve the shared energy of the space. Safety & Self-Reliance: We will have a lounge area lit up; feel free to bring tapestries or pillows to expand our cozy space. Substance-Free: We co-create a sober space. Please do not bring alcohol or illegal substances. Facilities: Public washrooms are nearby but have early closing times (around 9–10 PM).
