This Wednesday, on the New Moon in Sagittarius, we celebrate our one year anniversary of our first event at the Clubhouse. This will most likely be our last groove at the clubhouse for 2022 as we shift to Parkdale Hall for our remaining bi-weekly events. (Dec 7th / Dec 21st / Dec 31st) For this special occassion the Groove is very excited to have resident DJ J Groove opening for international DJ / Producer OVEOUS from New York City! Whos is OVEOUS? Founder and creator of the Hyper Soul & Hyper Ancestral sound, OVEOUS has been elevating audiences around the world with his captivating sets merging spoken word, lush vocals and music. His music sounds like an escape to paradise. The perfect score to experience a ritual of dance with the fusion of afro drums, funk, jazz & soul inspired melodies. Today he is affiliated with the legendary labels BBE music, Yoruba Records & Atjazz Rec Co. His recent debut album “Hyper Soul” was critically acclaimed for his soulful singing along with his signature productions that lift the spirit. The intention now is to collaborate with venues, festivals, event organizers, brands & media outlets that align with OVEOUS’ mission to bring people joy thru the potency of music and movement. This venue was our home from November to June before we went outside for our Summer of outdoor events. Chocolate Groove has been offering alcohol-free dance gatherings since the summer of 2018 and has evolved over the years. We are very excited to continue to host our events that create space for Ecstatic Dance & space for a more Social experience.
