CHOREOGRAPHY BOOTCAMP
As part of the Solarflaredance creative production, we are happy to launch a brand new workshop:
- CHOREOGRAPHY BOOTCAMP.
The piece is called: “Augustine Parish”
Augustine Parish is an Afro Latin jazz piece composed by the legendary Eddie Palmieri and inspired by the catholic church Augustine Parish.
The choreographic piece is a fusion of Afro lyrical Mambo with a touch of jazz.
The Bootcamp taught on Sunday will be a section of the full production piece, but for those who are interested there is the possibility to apply and learn and train the full piece and perform it live.
We will work on all the technical aspects of the choreography, musicality and expression and interpretation.
The Bootcamp is OPEN to Ladies and Gents and to a different dancers styles.
LEVEL: from an intermediate Level.
SUNDAY 8TH OF MAY
VENUE: BASE STUDIO LONDON

There is opportunity to learn this piece fully which will be realised as a production to perform live, but the training will take place on a different event. We are looking for dancers with abilities, willing to learn the style, train, passion dedication and commitment towards what it takes to dance a piece live on stage.

BIO:
Emanuela Iafrate is an international artist, teacher, choreographer and performer in the Afro-Carribean and Latin Dance Industry. Today known as the creator of her unique style called Afrolyrical Mambo and AfroLatin Fusion.
Emanuela was born in Italy, started her dancing training at the age of 6, training in a ballet academy and then got to train in a variety of styles, like contemporary, hip hop, commercial and jazz. She apperead in many national theatre on several productions in different primary roles, at the age of 19 she started training with a notorious contemporary company called spellabound and also teaching on the side, but it is only later on that she meet the person that will introduce her to afrocuban folkore and cuban dances, and after only 1 year of training she won few national competitions recognised by important italian federations for the afro-carribean industry.
She moved to the UK in 2011 and started teaching in local dance schools, refining her style at the beginning mostly focused on Ladies work and formed her student/performance group. In 2015 she got her first recognised international gig where she taught and performed a show as a soloist and since then she never stopped. Emanuela has worked in some of the most prestigious Congresses and Conferences for Salsa/Afro/Carribean dances of the World presenting different performances and taught unique classes at a variety of dance levels. During these years she created and still keeping refining her Afrolyrical Mambo and Afro Latin Fusion unique style which is a beautiful mix of afrocuban, mambo (salsa on2), Lyrical contemporary, ballet and jazz mixed and dance interpretating a variety of music and to create story telling performances.
Now based in London where she is building her new platform and link between the Musical Theatre and Afro-Carribean and Latin Dance platform. As part of created her own plaform of production and working on new several performances that will be performed in the UK and abroad.
She is also training in Jazz and Musical Theatre with some of the greatest London Teachers and performers in the Industry.
She has a spiritual connection with dancing and without pursuing her dream she would have never been able to discover her true self as a human being and she use that to inspire others to do the same.
