CI Animal - Contact Improvisation Series

CONTACT IMPROVISATION 8-times-Series with Anir Leben (contact/questions/registration through mail: [email protected]) 31.05. - 26.07.2017 (no class on 28.06.) C I A N I M A L Wednesdays 6 - 8 pm In this CI Series we will pad like cats, wiggle like snakes and play like monkeys. We will crawl our way into a strong animal body that helps us to move swiftly and easy into the world of Contact Improvisation dance. Here we we will physically understand softness inside and outside and explore the strength that stems from that. There will be some precious time to connect to our first outside dance partner: the floor. We will release and melt into, move with other dance partners and alone, roll, enjoy compression, go with and in counter directions, share weight and playtime and dance with the pull of gravity and outer space weightlessness. Basic and developped skills like the quality of pouring weight, rolling point, getting familiar with the layers of touch and using the point/surface of contact for rolling, leaning and sliding, as well as some easy moveable lifts and exploring the quality of the improvising mind are going to be our guidelines. And of course, your questions!
