✨✨NYC Zoukieros! ✨✨ We're throwing a mid summer SATURDAY night zouk party featuring international world renowned Zouk instructor from Brasilia; K-yo!! 🤗 If you're feeling the withdrawals from ZoukMX, come get your FIX in NYC!!! This is an amazing opportunity as K-yo rarely tours anymore. Once a pioneering Brazilian Zouk instructor in the USA, K-yo decided to focus more on developing new teachers in his home country. K-yo is busting out of Brazil and making a special trip to NYC just to share his incredible talent with our local community! 🙌 He is personally one of my favorite, gentle, soft, graceful and technically advanced zouk leads in the world! His style of teaching focuses on slower, soulful zouk movements in concert with musicality and partner connection. He was the first brazilian Zouk instructor in North America, helping to develop the zouk scene in New York, Toronto, Montreal, Miami, Knoxville and Washington DC, back in 2010. 4th concept are the base of Soulzouk Methodology, that he teach: Conexão + Condução + Conforto = Curtição. In his early dance career, K-yo has taught Salsa and Ballroom Dance at the Studio Dance By C.I.A. and at the Institute Juliana Castro in Brasilia. In 2004, K-yo transitioned to specialize in Brazilian zouk dance. In 2005, he joined the group SOULZOUK, and has worked alongside Luciana Guinle and China. He has taught zouk classes in Brazil, United States, Canada, México, France, Spain, Switzerland, England, Italy and Sweden. He has deejayed at many venues and events, and create your own Festival F.I.E.L. that heappen for 5 years (2012-2017) in Brasilia, Brasil, showcasing Brazilian dance culture with some of the best dance instructors in zouk, kizomba, samba, salsa e bachata. K-yo is currently in Brasília, set down the travel dance life to focus on Jiujitsu Lifestyle and help develop new teachers in Brasilia. Proceeds from this event will be reinvested into the NYC community. ❤️
