***OUR NEW EVENT TIMES*** ***CLASS 7:15-8:15pm*** ***JAM 8:15-9:30pm*** -- START TIME -- Class starts promptly at 7:15pm, so please arrive by 7pm to allow time for check-in. -- ENTRANCE FEE -- $20 for the whole night, whether you go to the class and/or jam. -- FINANCIAL ACCESSIBILITY -- A discount of 50% is available for marginalized peoples, such as BIPOC and LGTBQIA+ folx and those who are experiencing financial hardship..... or pay what you can; NOTAFLOF. -- CLASS DESCRIPTION -- Feet & Ground In this class we'll be focusing on how our connection to the floor through our feet can provide the foundation for a grounded dance. Also we'll explore how our wonderful feet might help our weight travel and distribute through the tensegrity structure of our body in a way that feels good and is sustainable. -- CLASS INSTRUCTOR -- Klaus practices contact improvisation to cultivate curiosity over ambition, be with awkwardness, and find joy & playfulness in the moment; some days that works better than others. His practice & facilitation is influenced by other practices such as vocal improvisation, biodynamic craniosacral therapy, and living a life as a human. Klaus hopes to be able to share some of his excitement for researching the practice of (contact) improvisation with you.
