About this Event

Two special classes working with improvisation within close embrace and developing greater awareness of the deeper connections between movement, music and the milonga and greater fluidity in the dance. Part 1 (45 minutes) This first session will be dedicated to understanding fundamental structures (developed in closed embrace) and how to move the body in interesting fun and fluid movements when using the cross system. The session will be structured as a cyclical Q&A, in which we will see the development of the possibilities before our eyes allowing the body to adapt and be more present in the relationship between the music, the movement and the soundscape of the milonga. Part 2 (1 hour and 25 minutes) In this second section, we will use the movements discovered in part 1 to explore their use with different types of music and how they can adapt. What are the best contexts in which to use certain movements? When is it better to use and not use them? The idea is to build a network of connections between many movements and their relative body approaches to develop better body-music awareness. 7pm: Part 1 8.45pm: part 2 9.15pm: Practica & Q&A with teachers.
