Classes with Guest Instructors from Montreal

Ahhhhhh!!!!! We are so excited to have the opportunity to welcome guest instructors, Anaïs Sékiné and Aleix Prats Ferrer, from Montreal to teach Levels 3 and 4! This is a one-time thing so be sure to clear your calendar and be there on February 22nd! If you're registered for the series, this class will be included. If you're not registered for the series, you can drop-in to these classes for $20 which includes the social dance. Level 4 will be for those who have auditioned into the class. If you want to take Level 3 and do not have the pre-reqs, we'll allow you to take this one-time class if you've been dancing for 8+ months, taking classes, and social dancing consistently at The 9:20 or other venues. These two are staples in the Montreal swing scene (hence this photo from the Swing Riot event in Montreal) and have a true passion for Lindy Hop and jazz which resonates in their teaching. Those of you lucky enough to be attending Swingin' At The Savoy 2018 in Oakland will have the opportunity to take even more classes from these two during the weekend! 7:20pm-8:20pm - Level 4 (must have already auditioned into this Level 4) Rhythmic landscapes: We are going to explore how to create together different rhythmic motifs for our basic patterns. 8:30pm-9:30pm - Level 3 (must have pre-reqs or have been dancing 8+ months and social dancing consistently) Rhythmic play in partnership: We are going to explore how to better improvise rhythmically with our footwork within a fluid partnership. $20/class at the door - includes the dance Level 4 students - if you take Level 4, you can take Level 3 for free
