Mmm the yumminess of a sweet close embrace -- with enough give to feel inviting and enough structure to feel clear and safe. A good close embrace is more than just the sum of its parts, more than just putting lead + follow together = close embrace. It is a skill to be honed, a craft to be practiced, and once we allow ourselves, a place of comfort, of solace. When all the world might be spinning around us, we meet and keep meeting each other as we dance. This workshop will address common challenges in close embrace: we will explore the quality of the embrace, common movements in close embrace, the ever-popular question of how to turn in close embrace and can I do this or that in close embrace? Oftentimes, the answer is yes! And the HOW matters, a lot.
