Um 18.00 Uhr starten wir mit einer Präsentation über den Swing-Austausch und die palästinensische Tanzgruppe. Die Party fängt gegen 19.00 Uhr an. Kommt vorbei für einen tollen Abend mit Livemusik und Swing-TänzerInnen aus der ganzen Welt! 18.00 Uhr: Präsentation (Keller) 19.00 - 23.30 Uhr: Swing-Party mit DJs (Bar und Keller) 19.30 Uhr: Live: The Berlin Grinders (Bar) 21.00 Uhr: Live: Gipsy Rumba Oriental mit Dury De Bagh-Musician (Keller) Eintritt: Spende (Richtwert: 5-10 Euro) Die Spenden an der Abendkasse werden benutzt, um die Bands zu bezahlen und um die Reisekosten der palästinensischen TänzerInnen zu decken. Es ist ein Ort, wo Menschen mit und ohne Fluchthintergrund sich treffen, kennenlernen und gemeinsam an Projekten teilnehmen. Eins dieser Projekte ist der wöchentliche Swing-Kurs, den es nun schon seit fast zwei Jahren gibt. Im April reisten drei unserer Tänzerinnen zum allerersten Swing Exchange in Palästina. Ende September kommt die palästinensische Tanzgruppe nun nach Berlin, zum zweiten Teil vom Austausch. Einen besseren Ort für eine bunte Abschlussparty könnte es nicht geben. Ein Swing-Tänzer aus Berlin sagte mal (Zitat): “Es gibt keine Araber in der Swing-Szene”. Kommt vorbei und erlebt, wie vielfältig die Swing-Szene sein kann. -- ENGLISH -- The closing party of the Berlin Palestine Swing Exchange 2018 will take place on Sunday, the 30th of September at Neue Nachbarschaft // Moabit! At 6.00 PM we will start with a presentation about the swing exchange and the Palestinian dance group. The party starts around 7.00 PM. Join us for a wonderful night with live music and swing dancers from all over the world! 6.00 PM: Presentation (basement) 7.00 - 11.30 PM: Swing party with DJs (bar and basement) 7.30 PM: Live: The Berlin Grinders (bar) 9.00 PM: Live: Gipsy Rumba Oriental with Dury De Bagh-Musician (basement) Entry: Donation (5-10 euros) The donations will be used to pay the bands and to cover the travel costs of the palestinian dancers. It is a place where people with and without a refugee background meet, get to know each other and take part in projects. One of these projects is a weekly swing course that has been running for almost two years. In April three of our dancers traveled to the first ever swing exchange in Palestine. At the end of September the Palestinian dance group comes to us in Berlin, for the second part of the exchange. There’s no better place for such a varied and colorful crowd! A swing dancer in Berlin once said “There are no Arabs in the swing scene”. Come join us and experience how multicultural the swing scene can be.
