We are moving heaven and earth to give you an absolutely divine weekend. While you're in town we want you to work hard and play hard. In case you're not familiar with our talented artists, please allow me to now brag about them a little more in depth now that we've got the basics covered: Tin Man & Jhanelle Kizomba Respectively hailing from Rochester, NY and Toronto, ON- this couple has been setting the US on fire. Oozing connection, poise, precision, and stylistic flair- learning from these two is not an opportunity you want to miss. In addition to being talented dancers, they are instructors of the most wonderful sort- articulate, patient, warm, and wholeheartedly invested in the growth of their students. Jay & Andréa Kizomba Based in Tampa, FL these two will be braving the cold to bestow their knowledge upon us. Jay's primary training in kizomba took place in Europe and the work he has put in there shows. His movement is natrual and heavy with both technique and musicality. Combined with Andréa's fluidity and impressive degree of expression, they compliment each other beautifully. Jay and Andréa are renowned for their ability to break down concepts into easily digestible material. They seek to sculpt dancers who are able to create rather than simply regurgitate pattern work. DJ Line Up: DJ David Ruela is a DJ of Portuguese/Cape Verdean origin, who currently resides in the Netherlands. He has been experimenting with different music genres since he was fifteen. In 2016 he started dancing Kizomba and began directing his passion for music into mixing. He was nominated for the Kizomba Holland awards and won the award for best upcoming DJ in July. We are very excited to be bringing him all the way across the Atlantic so he can set our floor and your soul on fire with his positively smoking skills. Based in San Francisco, DJ Dravid certainly makes his rounds. He has played at dance festivals & clubs in the USA, Canada, Mexico, Portugal, France, Netherlands, Luxembourg, and Poland. Dravid strives to create an ethereal experience for dancers that transcends musical genres & boundaries every time he steps up to the decks. Since his passion was ignited, he has continually pursued ever-increasing heights for his artistry.
