About this Event
Autumn approaches, blackberries are ripening, harvest time is arriving. As September's New Moon draws near, the darkening night invites a journey into the soul of nature. Divine Ridiculous meets Clownlife.
We beckon you to join us to feast on the fruits of this land, bathe in its waters and revel in revealing ourselves to ourselves and each other.
Over five days, we will explore our wild and creative selves, adorning and performing, playing and discovering, crafting our own mythology.
*** Star hazing clowns cuddle in moss-lined caves, the sacred child dances and cavorts, we sing together, embody trans-personal archetypes, creating rites of passage for our own re-emerging, breaking the patterns, inviting the spiral, stepping off the wheel, into magic.***

About us:
Daniel Hernandez
My name is Daniel Hernandez. I am an itinerant mischief-maker exploring the ritual roots of performance.
The deeper I have dived into teaching, performing, and living in this rich territory, the more I have seen archaic/ shamanic clown and mask cosmologies become fascinating and colourful routes into individuation: containing a vast treasure-box of rituals, dance, liminal states, grotesque archetypes and clown-lore.
My performances, projects, ceremonies and workshops draw upon a wide variety of related traditions: These include Dance, Clown, Bouffon, Butoh, Contact Improvisation, Tao/Tantra, Vodou, Mask, Psychomagic, Art, Sacred Sexuality and Breathwork. I am continually researching and developing my practice through training, readings, writings, ceremonies, experiments, and mistakes. My first love was music. I don’t claim to be a master of anything.
Zuma Puma
Zuma is a Canadian Clown, Comedian and Neuro Linguistic Programming Master Practitioner. She is the founder of Clownlife (www.Clownlife.org) and regularly runs in person- workshops, 6 month long courses, weekend retreats and performance residencies focusing on the work of clown and ritual for life on and off the stage.
Besides her work in clown and ritual facilitation Zuma has a keen fascination and interest in shamanic practice, vision quest and rites of passage.
In 2012 Zuma moved to London, UK and founded the International Lost Cabaret-“London's most alternative comedy night”; which has since grown to become a collective and now appears regularly in; London UK, Paris France, Sydney and Melbourne, Australia. She is also a solo Clown Performer and has spent 2 years touring her hour long solo show Don’t Do it, Don’t Do it, DO It- to festivals over 5 countries including the Edinburgh Fringe fest.
Over the years she has worked with over 1000 Clownlife participants and has toured 14 countries from North to South America and across Europe performing and teaching Clownlife workshops with Universities, festivals, theatres, streets, communities, charities, retreat centres and the like.
This life and work is her obsession, her commitment and her devotion. She is a long time friend of the Divine Ridiculous family and has participated in many residencies over the years and is looking forward to collaborating on this facilitation journey of abundant delight with two of her dearest friends Dan Hernandez and Chloe Wykes.
Chloe Wykes
Artist, alchemist, bodyworker, songstress and mother.
I am a researcher of creative practice, movement and the healing arts. I curate workshops and happenings, make vocal improvisation and harmony singing spaces, do art and crafting and am part of the Divine Ridiculous family.
My intention is magic, love and liberation; to support connection to the primal self and to tribe; to be in, and promote, harmony with nature.
