These rituals are intrinsic to our humanity, and people have been dancing in ceremony and ritual together for time immemorial. From the plains of Africa to the temples of Bali, to the mountain tops of the vast Americas, and everywhere in between.....this ancient but fundamental technology of creating a ritual of coming together to dance is something so central to our humanity & the wiring of our nervous systems. It gives us a very real sense of place & community, a marked experience where we literally move through the full spectrum of emotions and experiences in a state of collective embodied healing. I want to tap into the remembering of how truly sacred this practice is, and how it has been encoded into our DNA as human beings....this is more than just an ecstatic dance, it is a ritual....a ceremony....and one where we get to remember just how sacred this human existence truly is. This means getting clear verbal or non-verbal yes's or no's from those we approach. If "yes", we are always sensitive to changes and endings. If "no", we acknowledge the clarity with grace and appreciation. We offer Red, Yellow & Green wristbands at the door for those wishing to clearly, visually indicate level of interest in interacting. Wearing them is not required but please do if so inspired.
