Come and dance to some Thursday Jazz at our Collegiate Shag classes! Two hours of classes and a 30 minute DJ'd jazz social dance at The Wriggle Room, in Marrickville. ⏰ 7:00-8:00PM - Collegiate Shag - Explorer: For dancers with solid foundations ⏰ 8:00-8:30PM - Social dance with Thursday Jazz Djs ⏰ 8:30-9:30PM - Collegiate Shag - Foundations: beginners welcome Collegiate Shag is an eye-catching dance known for its energetic, joyful and gliding style. This swing-era dance originates from the American South in the 1930's and 1940's where it was wildly popular among young college students, hence the name 'Collegiate' Shag. 🎟️ $20pp per class / $30 for both - register online (preferred) or pay at the door 🏆If you want to save a bit of money and buy a Term Pass or grab a 10 Class Pass.
