Hi everyone! Please join us for the 2nd Annual Tango Festival in Columbus hosted by the Argentine Tango Club at Ohio State University! We'll have workshops, 5 milongas (including 3 themed Halloween evening milongas, possibly including even more dinosaurs this year!), performances, and 1 live orchestra! (All levels) Exploring somatic modalities and other movement disciplines to enhance and inspire your inner dance life 7:30-8:45pm: Workshop with Oscar: Tango (all levels) Milonguero twists and turns with followers ornaments. Technique, posture and musicality 9:00pm-2:00am: Halloween Milonga 1 - Barbie & Ken Costume Night: Traditional milonga with DJ Tincho plus performances Saturday Oct 28th 12:00pm-1:15pm: Workshop with Oscar. Waltz (all levels) flying with music, efficient movements and organic figures. Navigation and cadence 1:30-2:45pm: Workshop with Erin and Doruk. Moving with Momentum (Int/Adv) Working with and against momentum for exciting dynamics and flow 3:00-6pm: 50-50 Alternative milonga with DJ Mac 9:00pm-2:00am: Halloween Milonga 2 - Inflatable & Onesie Costume Night: Traditional milonga with DJ Kim & live music from Tango with Winnie & Hugo Satorre Sunday Oct 29th 12:00pm -1:15pm: Workshop with Oscar. Milonga traspié (all levels) all you need to know to dance a good milonga traspié 1:30pm-2:45pm: Workshop with Erin & Doruk. Musicality: "Kill Your Darlings" (Int/Adv) The festival is almost done!
