ABOUT LAKE MERRITT DANCE Lake Merritt Dance is the nonprofit organization that makes it possible for over a dozen different groups to dance at the beautiful, historic Lake Merritt Veterans Memorial building. We need your support to continue our operations. Recently, our largest renter discontinued her program, leaving our organization with a budget shortfall. Your contributions enable us to continue operating while we seek new programs and renters. If you can, please buy your tickets early - in 2023 if possible. Your contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. ABOUT THE EVENT We’ll have afternoon intensives, evening classes, open dancing and a jack and jill contest. Afternoon intensives from 3:30 to 5:30 - Intermediate intensive taught by Tim Kenny & Riley Crozier for those proficient with WCS basics - Beginner Intensive taught by Shin Aoki for anyone new to West Coast Swing or with limited experience Pre-dance lessons from 7:00 - 8:00 - Intermediate lesson taught by Yenni Setiawan. - Beginner lesson taught by Warren Pino.
