We have been away from each other for too long! As we all emerge and reconnect - may we find a way to come together, to relocate ourselves, take time to intentionally pause, integrate and recreate what is meaningful. At Venture Retreat Center in Pescadero, CA a legacy is in the making; you are invited to nurture and care for this place and each other as the retreat center opens their doors to community after a very dynamic year for everyone it’s time to celebrate life! Gather together for a day of play in nature, live music with artist from Guatemala, Colorado and California, come and join community in creating the magic of relaxation, connection, communing, dancing, drumming, yoga, swimming, jacuzzi, massage, energy healing, a potluck along with food provided. Let's take care of our local retreat centers and each other as we continue on a practice path and support the circle of life. It is a precious time in our modern world to support the land, care for our retreat centers, community spaces, nature and each other. The center is located a few miles from Pescadero state beach nestled in the redwoods near town and all of the great farms. The location is central from all four directions, easy access – take some time off work and enjoy the beautiful that awaits. Stop by the beaches on your way to the retreat center and check out the tide pools, crashing waves and dynamic coast side cliffs. Visit the tiny magical town for some incredible coffee, artichoke bread, outstanding artist Tom Shuman's Pottery, meet the amazing locals and if you feel inspired remember to invite them to join us. BRING & DRESS *Consider bringing for yourself and for others if you have extra of anything - care for each other. *Face mask if you are not vaccinated unless official guidelines are updated by June 16th *Tools for volunteering weeding tools, shovel, rake, gloves, wheelbarrow, long sleeve shirt, long pants and work boots, *Yoga mats and props. *A drum or percussion instrument for the Community Rhythm Session *Potluck bring healthy food to share we will also provide some food and drinks join us in the kitchen and on the patio. *Cash or cards for artist offerings and donations. *Swim suit, towel and sunscreen. *Wear camping, hiking, covered shoes for comfort and easy wandering around the property and walking to and from sessions. *Change of clothes, dress in layers for temperature shifts, dress and express yourself. *Toiletries if you are camping over night, flash light/head lamp, eco friendly water bottle. *Please clean up after yourself, take with what you bring with you, respect the departure time. *Mindful transitioning as you leave, check your surroundings, look behind you before you leave. AGENDA The bell at the main lodge will ring a few minutes before every session. Body work - massage throughout the day / apothecary / volunteering on property / artist vendors / yoga classes / drum circle / live music / potluck / swim / Jacuzzi / wander and socialize in nature. Grant Wray photography will be with us capturing the precious moments of community creation throughout the day. Anyone who does not want to be photographed, your wishes are respected, space is dedicated in sessions for your personal privacy. Grant is a sweet, intentional community devoted human with a huge heart and we are deeply appreciative of everyone’s involvement in this collective creation. If camping please camp mindfully, no fires, respect the space and the people in it. This is an inclusive, all ages welcome conscious community gathering. 9p - 11p After hours live music with local bands hosted by Venture Retreat Center at the main lodge for those who want to continue celebrating life, music by the river rock fire place and socializing. PARKING/ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE Arrival June 16th 10a no earlier for all attendees and participants. Self set up camping and departure June 17th by 11a. Open house arrive anytime after 10a throughout the day, come and go as needed. Please drive on and off the property slowly, carefully, watch out for people and animals. 50 cars parked on property, mindfully parked, diagonally on one side of the driveway. Respect the reserved parking spaces for artist to unload. Excess parking on Eden West Road and walk the beautiful dirt road under the canopy of trees to the retreat center. Bring head lamps, flash lights for your departure and walk out of the property. Leave no trace behind, check the area for any of your belongings, clean up before leaving the property. If you are camping use outdoor showers only, do not use indoor showers. Indoor toilets available. REGISTRATION $60 Silent Disco & Day Pass: Includes head set reserved, live DJ Yemanjo sunset silent disco sound immersion free-form ecstatic dance in nature. Includes day pass, yoga classes, drum circle, swimming, Jacuzzi, food. $50 Camping 1 Night & Day Pass: June 16 arrive as early as 10a / depart by 11a June 17. Outdoor hot showers, indoor toilets. Does not include Silent Disco. $15 Volunteer Day Pass Donation: includes minimum of 2 hours of work on property, bring your own tools, yoga classes, drum circle, swimming, Jacuzzi, food. Does not include Silent Disco. $25 Artist Vendor Day Pass: Includes day pass and space for self set up, bring what you need including a table, chair, etc. and your own payment process. Confirm your location with host before setting up. $0 Volunteer Day Pass Scholarship: Limited and must reserve in advance includes, yoga classes, drum circle, swimming, Jacuzzi, food.
