Thailand, Koh Phangan 2-10 May Composing while improvising & making spaces for collaborative actions - dance improvisation, poetry and perfromance workshop with Sasha Dodo and Dolores Dewhurst-Marks. Where: Source Koh Phangan When: 2,3,4,6,7,9,10 May (Thuesday and Sunday Off) 17:00-20:30 (each day) Description: Join an extraordinary nine day process of making improvised dances in solo, duets and ensemble. The work is intended to enhance and refine our compositional, relational and collaborative abilities in the context of dance improvisation and beyond. The practice is grounded in being physically, attentionally and poetically available for what is happening here and now. The exercises will be focused on listening and investigation of your own and collective creative potential. Anticipate working with/within limitations, poetically charged ideas and questioning. At the end of the workshop we will share a series of public perfromances. Notice. Full attendance required. Coming on time and staying until the very end of the class is part of the practice. You cannot join the session after 17:05. The workshop is open for those who feel confident in their own movement, comfortable being in the physical contact and curious about improvising.
