Contact: A Weekly Contact Improv & Community Connection Jam
This event is part of a series.

About this Event

Join us for contact improv, play, and movement exploration at St. Luke's Church on the Avenue! This is a monthly (first Tuesday) jam space hosted by Emilie Gitter of Sparkle Space and Halsey Payne, both facilitators of ecstatic dance in Baltimore. This space was inspired by an excitement to continue practicing contact improvisation in a space supported by the community. This will be an experimental movement space with the opportunity to evolve and change as facilitators continue practicing contact improvisation. Expect to move your body, have fun, and maybe meet a new friend! We're all learning here. All sessions are pay-what-you-can, no one turned away due to lack of funds. Proceeds go to St. Luke's Church on the Avenue. Suggested clothing is loose, comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely. Layers are best, including long sleeves and pants, as the main sanctuary is carpeted for floor work. Please bring water. Hope to move with you soon!
