Contact Improv Dance with Training Wheels (Intro Class + Jam)

Come jump, play, melt, chirp, roll, and dance with us! We'll start with an intro class, where we'll warm up our bodies, do some icebreakers to ease into dancing with others, and set you up with some great training wheels you can use if you get lost :) Afterwards we'll jam! That's just an open space to dance together, a playground, to explore and use what we learned. 1-2pm class 2-2:30pm jam Prior experience with contact improvisation is not necessary. $25 ($15 concession) Class + Jam $15 ($10 concession) Jam only ---------- What is Contact Improv, you might ask? It's a spontaneously improvised social dance. An exploration of moving together with other bodies using non-verbal communication. An inquiry into what can be created using momentum, shared weight, touch, and responsiveness to the other dancers. If that's too many words...for me, it's just taking delight in moving together with other people.
