Contact Improvisation (CI) is a dance form where partners explore movement together through physical contact, sharing weight, balance, and momentum in spontaneous improvisation.

Earth and Sky
In this class we will explore awareness the qualities of being connected to the earth, as well as connection with the sky;
- Rolling
- Moving in partnership with the earth
- Sensing rising energy of the ground

- Spatial awareness & eyes

- Falling and Flying
The class will include somatic awareness as well as a few technical invitations, and can evolve based on the curiosity of the group.

Alexandra Wuzyk is a multidisciplinary artist born and raised in South Africa. She studied Fine Art at LUCA School of Arts in Belgium, where her work focused on interactive performances, inviting spectators into active and embodied roles.
She first encountered contact improvisation in 2020 and fell in love with the practice as an embodied education for life. She has been actively practicing and studying since then, mostly with programs hosted by ๐ป๐ถ๐พ๐จ๐น๐ซ๐บ: ๐ช๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐น๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐

. She believes in CI as a space that transcends cultural barriers and opens much needed states of listening. She has shared CI classes in Thailand, Poland and South Africa, and shared different artworks across 6 continents.
She is grateful for the rich heritage of Contact Improvisation and has been especially influenced by the approaches of Sasha Dodo, Dolores Dewhurst Marks, Anjelika Doniy, Ming Shen Ku, Yasukichi Suzuki, Bari Kim, Inna Falkova, Geraldine Acevedo de Espana, Francisco Borges and Daniel Rojasanta.
