Contact Improvisation Dance Workshop with Julie Brannen

This workshop creates a safe space for learning and practicing basic principles of Contact Improvisation (CI). The CI dance form – based on physical skills involving touch, sharing weight, following a shared point of contact, and riding momentum – engages participants in connecting and responding to each moment. Participants work towards aligning body, mind, and spirit and deepening connections with self, partners, and surroundings. Julie Brannen's lifelong journey with movement has brought her experiences within creative, performative, and therapeutic practices. As an artist and a healer, she brings people back into their bodies with a felt sense of home by owning their truth and stepping into their power.
