Contact improvisation jam

A contact improvisation jam! The idea of this jam is to gather people and exchange creative energy and awareness through improvised dance and contact improvisation. In the studio, we create a safe and inspiring space where we can explore the world of communication through (contact) improvisation in a social environment. This jam is about exchange through movement and contact and therefore you need to be comfortable with touching another body and to be touched. Please note that the purpose of this jam is not to touch but to exchange through movement, therefore, we ask all who want to enter the session to respect each other boundaries and personal journey’s. The session will start with a collective warm-up and a small session where (contact) improvisation tools will be presented. The jam will be lead by Florence Moutin and Anna Maria Suykerbuyk. About Contact improvisation (CI) This form of dance is characteristic of the post-modern dance developed in 70 in America through new proposal related to space, time, relation… CI involves physical contact, kinesthetic awareness, and instant composition with group and partner. About the facilitators Florence Moutin is a certificated yoga teacher and somatic educator with a strong background in Contemporary dance especially improvisation, working in the field of dance theatre and wellness.
