Contact Improvisation Meet Vocal Connection ——— Experience yourself as a creative vibrating being Vocal Liberation is a simple yet profound exploration of connection Here it meets the embodiment of Contact Improvisation Come and experience the beauty and gift of having a body and a voice ——— In this workshop we go on a journey through movement, sound, touch and breath landing deeper into our embodied listening and presence to awaken the intuitive “in-the-moment” awareness of what it means to be a creative being. Inner and outer listening forms the core of the work - finding back to our truth through expressing our internal world through movements and sounds - expanding awareness through the dynamics of touch and contact. We move and sound together in varied ways, exploring silence, pauses, sensing and listening. Deepening the perception of the body and allowing the mind to settle into the present moment. ——— Joseph Wallin is deeply devoted to connection. Music has always been his spiritual home — a place of belonging, truth, and inner strength. With a background in bands and live performance, he has spent the past eight years exploring how we can reconnect with ourselves through sound and vibration. His work centers on vocal awareness — using breath, tone, and focused attention to rediscover the body as a living instrument. Joseph’s facilitation is gentle and grounded. He invites you to listen beyond words and trust your own inner guidance, allowing your voice and body to reveal what is already there. He will create live sounds throughout the workshop, supporting the unfolding process. ——— Saija Sarell is a Contact Improvisation dancer and facilitator with over a decade of practice in CI as a path of embodied listening, softness, and shared flow. For her, Contact Improvisation is a living dialogue — an ongoing exploration of shared weight, attentiveness, and fluidity. Rooted in somatic practices and yoga (RYT200 Yin & Vinyasa), Saija brings grounded softness and clarity to her facilitation. She has been active in dance communities internationally and within the Finnish CI scene as a dancer, space holder, and co-organizer of the Midnight Sun CI Festival.
