🤩 Contemplative Dance Practice 🤩 A practice where meditation and dance-making meet. - Developed by Barbara Dilley - The Contemplative Dance Practice invites you to slow down, listen, and move with awareness. Through a balance of stillness and movement, the practice supports a deeper connection to the body, the present moment, and the people around you. CDP is shared in three parts: Meditation, Personal Awareness Practice, and Open Space. Each part is marked by the sound of a bell, offering time to notice sensations, thoughts, and movement choices, and to explore how we relate to space and others while moving. Movement, witnessing, and meditation intertwine, every body and all movement are welcome. The practice emphasizes kinesthetic delight (the enjoyment that comes from feeling yourself move, rather than from how the movement looks or whether it achieves a goal). 🦜 Why we offer it Through sensing in and connecting with oneself during the first two phases of the practice, we find that interactions with others during the open space come from a deeper place. This quality feels very satisfying and nourishing to us. Contact Improvisation is welcome as part of the third phase of CDP, as we understand and offer it. 🦜 Our CDP structure - 20 min Meditation, invitation to observe the present moment in stillness - 30 min Personal Awareness Practice, invitation to sense yourself through movement - 40 min Open Space, invitation to explore relating to space and others with and without contact We begin and close with a sharing circle. 🦜 When & Where 7 meetings in 2026 Sundays 15.02., 29.03., 10.05. & 26.07. @ Studio 3 (Aufgang C, 3.
