12th to 15th May 10am - 12pm Rs. 1000 Rs. 300 (drop-in) **NOTE: This workshop is only for trained dancers at the intermediate or advanced level** Prashant will give you an insight in different movement techniques and methods inspired and blended largely with the Flying Low technique. You will deal with transformation of movement and a building of deep dance vocabularies that derive from a conscious stepping out of our comfort zone. Warm Up consists of body work, floor work, influences from different disciplines like yoga, chi gong, martial arts etc. to build a common energy. Sequences will be inspired by Flying Low, Hip-hop, African contemporary, and other contemporary techniques and martial arts such as Kalaripayattu and Capoeira and also from his own Movement research practice. Further there is a room to experiment and explore your own movement language through various tasks, methods and improvisation such as understanding of spaces and body, control and exchange of weights with partners and contact work. About the facilitator: Prashant More is a Contemporary performing artist, choreographer and dance teacher from Pune, India. He started dancing at a very early age. From 2008 he started his journey as a freelance performer. He took formal training in Bharatnatyam Urban/street Dance and Contemporary dance and was involved in hip-hop culture events, state competitions, cultural performances and Dance productions. In 2012 he completed diploma in movement arts and light design with distinction at Attakkalari centre for movement arts in Bangalore, India. Later he started working as a repertory dancer and a Dance instructor. He was involved in company's performances and productions, and taught community in India and Europe. From 2014, he has been travelling to Europe for performances and studies to earn more knowledge in contemporary Dance/Art and choreography. He participated in a Choreographic Intensive course in Amsterdam. Experimental Physical Performative in Berlin. An Interdisciplinary project in Bali, Indonesia. And Hong Kong international choreography festival. Currently, he is in the process of teaching and choregraphy. He is also researching on various movement languages and practicing in developing his own movement vocabulary.
