Continuums of Tensegrity: Within and Without

Workshop sponsored by Open Door Integrative Wellness, Vermont Dance Alliance, and Sobo Dance. When: Sunday, January 17 Time: 10am-1pm REGISTRATION STILL OPEN This workshop will explore the concept of tensegrity (tension + integrity) as a framework to support resilient and adaptive movement. Inside our bodies, an internal elastic web of relations creates the possibility for buoyant response and articulate specificity. We will use tools from Axis Syllabus to explore the physical movement possibilities of our internal tensegrity, and use Somatic Experiencing®, cultural somatics, perception explorations, and more to explore tensegrity in the world around us. As we become intimate with the relational intelligence of our own interwoven tissues, can we recognize other networks we are a part of that support a greater sense of resource, nourishment, and possibility? What larger healthy bodies are our physical bodies woven with? What happens when we move with attention to these larger webs of relation?
